JCAF Objectives
We cherish and preserve Japanese culture and arts here in Melbourne, while creating a place where everyone can enjoy them together.
Through events and community activities that introduce Japanese culture, we hope to create opportunities for people to connect and build friendships beyond nationality and cultural differences.
Nothing would make us happier than knowing these experiences help bring energy and wellbeing to both the hearts and minds of those who participate.
We also aspire to create a welcoming place where Japanese people living in Australia, as well as the next generation of children, can proudly say, “Japanese culture is wonderful,” and where, as members of this community, we can work together to build a bright future.

Japaneasy PTY LTD, a major pillar of the Japanese cultural community in Melbourne, holds a special place as the “founding force” behind JCAF Inc.
The Japan Culture and Art Festival, which Japaneasy PTY LTD has led from its inception through to its ongoing operations over many years, will now be formally taken over by JCAF Inc. This transition marks a new chapter, aimed at carrying the festival forward to the next generation while further developing it into a more sustainable and multifaceted initiative.
